Funeral services for Julius Hatton, 49 years old, who died Saturday afternoon in the American hospital in Picher Oklahoma from the results of a mine cave-in, were held at 10 Monday morning in Harvey's chapel. The body was then taken to Tiff City Missouri, where services were held at 2 in the afternoon. The Rev. John Jennings was in charge of the services. Hatton received a fractured skull when the roof caved in at the hard rock lead and zinc mine, the Sonny Boy Mine, on West Nineteenth street, Tuesday morning, Jan 15. A fellow worker escaped injury. Mr. Hatton is survived by his widow, a son, Elmo Hatton; four daughters, Imogene Hatton and Geraldine Hatton at home. Mrs. Claude Swearingen and Mrs. George Adams of Baxter Springs Kansas; his mother, Mrs. George Hatton of Garber Oklahoma, and two brothers, Irvin Hatton of Gerber, and John Hatton of Wichita Kansas.
