Picher Oklahoma, Jan. 21--Edward Hamby, 25 years old, a hard rock lead and zinc tub hooker at the New York Mine, died at a local hospital last night from injuries received yesterday morning when struck upon his head by a boulder. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sonoma Hamby and a four-year old son. The family resided near the New York Mine. Funeral services will be held at the Central Methodist church at 2:80 pm Sunday. The Rev. C. O. Huff will officiate and burial will be in the Miami cemetery. The funeral services will be in charge of the Lodge, of which Mr. Hamby was an active member. The funeral will be under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher Oklahoma.

Picher Oklahoma, Jan 23 The funeral of Edward J. Hamby, 25 years old, who died Wednesday as the result of injuries received at the New York Mine will be held from the Central Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. C. O. Huff will officiate and the services will be in charge of the I.O.O.F. lodge. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami Oklahoma, under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.

Picher Oklahoma, Jan 25 The funeral of Edward J. Hamby, 25 years old, died Wednesday from injuries received at the New York Mine, was held from the Central Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The Rev. C. O. Huff officiated and the services were under the auspices of the Moose lodge. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in Picher. Burial was in the Miami cemetery under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.

Interesting Article: A marriage license was issued at Columbus Kansas, last week to Mrs. Sonoma Hamby and Grover Birch, both of Picher Oklahoma. Mrs. Hamby was the widow of Edward Hamby, who recently died of injuries received at the New York Mine.

The Cortez-King Brand Mines Company was named defendant in a suit for $10,000 damages filed late Friday afternoon in the district court by Mrs. S. E. Hamby, administratrix of the estate of Edward J. Hamby, who was fatally injured Jan 20, 1926, when struck by falling rock at the New York Mine. Hamby was employed as a tub-hooker.
