Picher Oklahoma, June 9- John Henry Groves, 22 year old Galena Kansas miner was electrocuted this morning at the Admiralty Mine No. 3, southwest of Picher. Groves, who was a shoveler for the mine, operated by the Cameron- Henderson Mining Company, fell into a wire accidentally. He was taken to the Picher hospital in a Durnil ambulance from Picher, where he was give artificial respiration for about one and one-half hours, but never regained consciousness. The hard rock lead and zinc miner is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia Groves; one son, John Henry Groves, Jr.; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Groves, Galena Kansas. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Funeral services for Charles Henry Groves, who was electrocuted in a mine accident yesterday, will be held at the Assembly of God church at Sixth and Main streets, Galena Kansas, at 2:30 Thursday afternoon, the Rev. G. P. Hertwick officiating. Burial will be made in the Oak Hill cemetery at Galena under the direction of the Durnil funeral home of Picher Oklahoma. Note: Different names are used in the articles.
