Picher Oklahoma, July 13 Garland Ellison, 20 years old, of Treece Kansas, died at the Picher hospital at 2 o'clock this morning from injuries received in an explosion at the Cherokee Mine, one-half mile north of Treece, at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. R. L. Wood, 27; and Andy Graddy, 18, were slightly injured by the blast. Ellison and Wood were working on a machine which drilled into an unexploded shot. Grady, a shoveler was struck by rocks. The Todd undertaking company, of Picher took the trio to the hospital in ambulances. The injured miners all live at Treece Kansas.

Picher Oklahoma, July 14 Funeral services for Garland Ellison, of Treece Kansas, victim of an accident, at the Cherokee Mine, were held from the chapel of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was at Webb City, Missouri cemetery.
