Elmer Dixon, 22 years old, a hard rock lead and zinc shoveler at the Adams Mine, met instant death shortly before 1 am when caught beneath a falling slab. Dixon and his family resided on West A Street, Picher Oklahoma. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Dixon; a 14 month old son, Alfred Dixon, his parents and a number of brothers and sisters. The parents and some of the brothers and sisters reside at Winona Missouri

The completion of funeral arrangements awaits the arrival of relatives. The body is at the morgue of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.
