Picher Oklahoma, Apr. 26 William Copeland, 44 years old, of North Century Oklahoma, is in a critical condition at the American hospital at Picher, as the result of injuries sustained this afternoon at the Anna Beaver Mine No. 8 shaft. The accident was due to a premature explosion. Copeland suffered a fractured skull and was badly lacerated about the body.
Picher Oklahoma, April 27.--William Copeland, 44 years old, residing in North Century Oklahoma, died at a local hospital about 12 last night as the result of injuries received yesterday at the Anna Beaver Mine No. 8 shaft. The accident was due to a premature explosion. William Copeland was married and besides his wife, Mrs. Eliza Copeland, is survived by seven children and several other relatives. The children are Clarence Copeland, Ella Copeland, Marion Copeland, Roseta Copeland, Thomas Copeland, Edna May Copeland and Mrs. Bessie Hadley.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. D. W. Brashear pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be at Carl Junction Missouri.
Picher Oklahoma, April 28 Funeral services for William Copeland, 44 years old, who died Monday as the result of injuries received in a mine accident, were held at the Pentecostal church at 1 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was at Carl Junction, Missouri, by the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.
