W. C. Cooper, a shoveler at the Walker Mine, near Picher Oklahoma was struck by a falling steel rail Friday afternoon and died about two hours later from concussion of the brain. Cooper was standing near the bottom of the shaft when the rail, which was attached to a cord, fell and struck him on the head [article ends]
