N. E. O. Railroad

Miami News Record · Jan 18 1925 · Pg 4 · Col 6)

Suit for $1,025 damages was filed against the N.E.O. Railroad Company Friday in district court by Mrs. Elsie E. Connely, widow of William R. Connely, a brakeman employed by the defendant company who was killed Dec. 2, 1924, when he slipped on icy ground and fell beneath a moving freight car on a switch near Picher Oklahoma. The petition charges the company with "negligence and carelessness" in permitting mounds of earth and ice to accumulate near its switches.
