Leland Cole, 30 years old, employed as a machine man at the Big Chief Mine, was seriously injured yesterday afternoon shortly before 4 o'clock as the result of being caught beneath a heavy falling slab. He was rushed to the Picher hospital at Picher Oklahoma in the Todd ambulance from Picher, were his body was found to be badly crushed and bruised. His condition is reported to be critical.
The condition of Leland Cole, who was seriously injured last Wednesday when caught beneath a falling slab, is reported by local hospital attendants to be considerably improve.

Leland Cole, who was seriously injured at the LaSalle Mine about one month ago, is getting along nicely considering his injury. He was caught beneath a falling slab and sustained a badly fractured spine in addition to various bruises about the body. He is in a local hospital.
For some time the condition of Cole has been regarded as critical. He is reported to be gradually improving.

Leland Cole, injured at the LaSalle Mine about nine months ago was removed from the American hospital at Picher Oklahoma yesterday to the Picher hospital, at Picher. He is paralyzed below the hips. Picher Oklahoma, Dec. 29.--Leland Cole, 30 years old, died at a local hospital at 1:30 Sunday afternoon from injuries received about ten months ago when he was caught beneath a falling slab. He was employed as a machine man at a field shaft of the LaSalle Mine, in the north part of the city. His spine was badly injured, the lower part of his body being entirely paralyzed. Besides his wife, Cole is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Cole, 117 East Third street, and five sisters and three brothers. The sisters are: Mrs. William Jones, Mrs. Claude Gilmore, Mrs. Bertie Burke, all of Picher; Mrs. Freda Houseman of Kansas City Missouri, and Mrs. Fate Epperson of Baxter Springs Kansas. The brothers are: Leon Cole of Webb City Missouri, and Clay Cole of Picher. The funeral will be held from the Central Methodist church, South, Tuesday morning at 10. The Rev. Wesley Post will officiate, assisted by the Rev. C. O. Huff and burial will be in the Weaver cemetery near Oronogo Missouri, under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.

The Rev. Wesley Post and the Rev. C. O. Huff, officiated. Burial was in the Weaver cemetery, near Oronogo Missouri, by the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.

Mrs. Emily Dell Cole, widow of Evan Leland Cole, a machine man who died Dec. 28, 1924, as a result of injuries received Mar 5, while in the employ of the defendant Company, filed suit in district court Saturday for $50,000 damages. Cole was injured when struck by a falling mass of earth and rock.
