Clara Carter, through her attorneys, Shannon and Shannon, Thursday filed a damage suit in Ottawa county Oklahoma district court at Miami and received a settlement of $500. The H. T. Mining Company was the defendant in the case. Henry Carter, the woman's husband, a miner, working for the company, was killed while at work when a piece of slab fell striking him on the head. The suit was filed Thursday and settlement was made immediately. Note: Could not find where this decision went from a possible heart problem to being hit by a piece of slab.
