Picher Oklahoma, April 5, Earl Brower, 18 years old, of Zincville Oklahoma, died at a local hospital about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon a result of injuries received about two hours earlier at the Beck Mine when struck by a falling slab. Brower was employed as a machine helper.
Brower was son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brower of Zincville. He is also survived by four brothers, Clyde Brower, Ernest Brower, Oscar Brower and Orville Brower, all of Zincville, and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Tharp and Mrs. Ethel Stansberry, both of Zincville, and Mrs. William Powers of Douthat Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at the family home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. Mrs. Lou Love of Galena Kansas will officiate and burial will be in the Forest Park cemetery. The funeral will be under direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.
Earl Brower, who was seriously injured several days ago while working at Skelton Mine No. 7, is reported considerably improved.
Picher Oklahoma, April 6 The funeral of Earl Brower, 18 years old, of Zincville Oklahoma miner who died Monday from injuries received at the Beck Mine, was held at the family home in Zincville at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Lou Love of Galena Kansas officiated. Burial was in the Forest Park cemetery at Joplin Missouri. The funeral was under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.
