Picher Oklahoma, April 4 Earl Brewer, 18 years old, of Zincville Oklahoma, two miles east of Picher, was fatally injured when struck by a falling slab at the Beck Mine, northeast of Picher, this afternoon.

Brewer, a machine helper, suffered a fractured skull and badly crushed chest. He died at the American hospital at Picher, where he was taken in an ambulance of the Todd undertaking company, Picher, at 5 o'clock, an hour and a half after the accident.

The youth was knocked unconscious and never regained consciousness.

Brewer was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brewer of Zincville Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body was taken to the Todd parlors.
