Final rites for Leroy Willis Brandon, 34 year old former resident of Hockerville Oklahoma, who died Tuesday, Feb 1, 1955, of injuries received in a mining accident at Kellogg Idaho, will be conducted at the First Baptist church in Hockerville at 2 pm Saturday. The Rev. Roy Walker of Baxter Springs Kansas will officiate.

Burial will be in the Baxter Springs cemetery under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher Oklahoma.

Brandon suffered head and body injures when a slab of rock fell on him at a Kellogg Lead and Zinc Mine on Jan 26, 1955.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Esther Brandon, and a son, Robert Leroy Brandon, both of the home in Kellogg; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Brandon, and a brother, Lewis Brandon, all of Hockerville; and four sisters, Mrs. Vivian Bryant of Hoisington Kansas, Mrs. Leola Clogston, Mrs. Lula Clogston and Mrs. Eula Rohrer, all of Hockerville.
