Picher Oklahoma, Aug 22-Noah Asher, 31 years old, was perhaps fatally injured in an accident at 3 pm this afternoon at the Bluebird Mine No. 1, near Commerce Oklahoma where he was employed as ground foreman. Asher was injured after a can of dirt had bumped against the side of the shaft as it was being hoisted. The side of the shaft was damaged to the extent that it need attention, in the opinion of Asher, and he got in a can to be lifted to the spot to make an examination. A board or a rock fell down the shaft, striking him on the head. His skull was fractured from the top to the base. He was taken to the American hospital at Picher, where an operation was performed. His condition tonight was regarded as critical. Asher's home is a mile west of the Miami Oklahoma cemetery.

Picher Oklahoma, Aug. 24 Noah Asher, 31 years old, residing one mile west of the Miami cemetery, died at a local hospital about 12 am last night as the result of injuries received yesterday afternoon at the Bluebird Mine No. 1, near Commerce Oklahoma, where he was employed as ground foreman. Asher was struck on the head by either a timber or boulder falling from the side of the mine shaft as he was being hoisted from the bottom of the shaft. He received a fractured skull and did not regain consciousness. Asher is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hulda Asher of Miami, two sons, Leonard James Asher and Raymond Harry Asher, and one daughter, Pauline Marie Asher, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Charles Summers of Miami; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Carey of Miami, and Mrs. Charles Hall of Sedalia Missouri, and one brother, Lawrence Summers of Miami. The body will be taken to the home of the mother, Mrs. Charles Summers, 412 C street southwest, Miami.

Funeral services for Noah Asher, who died Tuesday night at a Picher hospital as the result of an injury received at the Bluebird Mine, will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the home of his mother, Mrs. Charles Summers, 412 C street southwest, Miami. the Rev. J. Grover Scales will officiate. Pallbearers will be: John Elmer, William Dixon, Albert Pierce, Earnest East, Dimbo Hannan and Munson Poteete. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under the direction of the Cooper undertaking company of Miami.
