Oronogo, Missouri, June 4.--Pascoe Arnold, 37 year old miner, was killed by a falling slab, weighing approximately 5,000 pounds, at the Buckingham Mine, one and a half miles north of Oronogo at 8 this morning. He was taken to St. John's hospital, Joplin Missouri, in a Hurlbut ambulance, where he was pronounced dead. An investigation was conducted today at the Hurlbut undertaking company at Joplin by Coroner Dawson W. Derfelt, who said the accident was unavoidable.

Arnold, who lived at Zincite, where he was a member of the board of education, was born in Arkansas. His twin brother, Paul Arnold, lives in California. Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ada Arnold; two sons, Harold Wayne Arnold and Donald Eugene Arnold, one stepson, Will Roy Nevens; four sister, Mrs. Juanita Childers of Sarcoxie Missouri, Mrs. Camille Sims of Bogota, Colombia, South America, Miss Norine Arnold of Los Angeles California, and Mrs. Corenna Benevenuto of Kansas City. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Hurbut undertaking company.
