Sawyer, Hillis

age 65, of Chico, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Born Jul 24, 1915, in Pryor Oklahoma, Craig county, to Mr. And Mrs. Gilbert Sawyer. He was reared and educated in Texas. Married Ida Staff in 1943, in Oklahoma, and they moved to Imperial Valley California where Sawyer was involved in dairy ranching. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1971, they moved to Chico. Cremated and the ashes disposed of privately.
