age 91, died May 4, 1996, at the home of his daughter in Dallas Texas. Born Mar 9, 1905 in Ottawa county Indian Territory on the Indian Reservation, to Titus William Barlow and Edith Thankful Barlow. He was married to Zelma M. Williams on Aug 20, 1927, at Chetopa Kansas. She preceded him in death on Oct 27, 1995. He was the grandson of Joseph Badger King, the first Ottawa Chief after the Ottawa Tribe was moved to Indian Territory in 1867. Barlow attended a small country school and later the School of Mines, which is now Northeastern Oklahoma A and M College. Mr. Barlow was Chief Emeritus of the Ottawa Indian Tribe of Oklahoma having served as First Chief from 1972 to 1990. He also served as Executive Secretary of the Inter-Tribal Council of the eight Ottawa County Tribes. Indian rites will be conducted at the grave side by Charles Dawes. Burial in the Ottawa Indian cemetery near Miami. Cooper-Althouse funeral home, Miami.
