Audrain, Frank

Abstract Data

Quite a sad accident occurred on the school grounds Tuesday morning. Before school had taken up the boys were enjoying a game of ball when Bob Nidiffer let a bat slip from his hands in making a strike, and hit Frank Audrain, aged 9, over the eye, making an ugly wound just over and one beneath his left eye. Fortunately the eye was not hurt. He was brought to town covered with blood, but Dr. Adams dressed his wounds and he was taken to his home. Several stitches were required to close up the gashes.
