Picher Oklahoma, died. Buried Greenlawn cemetery in Cherokee county Kansas, northwest of Picher. Obit: H. L. 'Jop' Martin - 33 years old, died early Sunday morning at his home, 517 North Picher street, Picher Oklahoma, after a two weeks illness from pneumonia and complications. He was familiarly known as 'Jop' Martin, head pump man for the Eagle-Picher Company mines, a position which he held for five years. He came from Joplin in the pioneer days of Picher. Martin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doxey Martin, and three sons, Herbert Martin, 11; Marvin Martin, 9, and Rolland Martin, 4 years old. Two brothers, George Martin, of Webb City Missouri, and Fred Martin of Picher. Funeral services will be conducted from the Union Church at 1 Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Wesley Post will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, in Kansas, northwest of Picher Oklahoma and Treece Oklahoma.
