Vaughn, Bruce Wayne

Seaman, Second Class Vaughn, age 25, a former Cardin Oklahoma boy, died Sep 17, 1944 at the Salton Sea Naval Air Station, at Hottville California. Vaughn was born and raised in Cardin Oklahoma and enlisted in the Navy only five months ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lota Vaughn of Miami and two sons, Jerry Wayne Vaughn and Jimmy Bruce Vaughn of the home; his mother, Mrs. Faye Randall, Baxter Springs Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Garner, Mrs. Erma Stone and Mrs. Dorie Wynne, all of Cardin, and grandmother, Mrs. M. S. Vaughn of Cardin. Cooper funeral home, Miami Oklahoma. Burial in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami. Note: Cemetery records have the name spelled Vaughan.
