age 33, formerly a Picher resident and widely-known musician, died at an Oklahoma City hospital, where she had been a patient for the last three weeks. She had been in ill health for a year. Death was attributed to heart disease. She had made her home in Oklahoma City for the last 15 years, where her husband R. B. Shrogren is a school teacher. She was born in Webb City Missouri, and was the daughter of the late J. N. Davis, mine operator, and graduated from the Picher schools in 1929. ... she was a talented pianist and a writer and several of her books, including one on the 'The Early Days of Picher,' are ready for the publisher. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, John Raymond Shrogren of the home; her mother, Mrs. Earl Bradbury, and a brother, Jackie Lee Davis, both of 218 South Netta street, Picher; a sister, Mrs. Lela Frankel of Tulsa Oklahoma, and two nieces and one nephew. Another brother, Chief Pharmacist's Mate Charles James Davis, serving in the South Pacific, is en route to the states by plane to attend funeral services, which will be conducted in Picher. Burial place not given.
