Note: Injury article - Ted Sherwood of Treece Kansas, a tub hooker at the Boska Mine No. 1, northwest of Picher Oklahoma, had a narrow escape from death yesterday afternoon when he fell fifty feet from an upper level to a lower level. Sherwood received a broken right leg and several bruises about the head and body. He was taken to the Picher hospital, Picher Oklahoma in an ambulance of the Todd undertaking company.

Ted Sherwood, Picher miner, employed at the Lucky Bill Mine located south of Cardin Oklahoma, suffered a leg injury this morning when the can in which he was standing dropped approximately 60 feet. Sherwood, about 38, received a leg injury several years ago in the same manner. A Durnil ambulance carried the miner to the Picher hospital, Picher Oklahoma from the Federal Mining Company shaft.
