a former Picher resident, age 36 years, drowned last Wednesday, Oct 17, in a 3000 gallon tank of oil while at work for the Bel-Air Oil Company at Santa Monica California. Before going to California about a year ago, Scott worked as a miner in the Tri-State mining district. The body, accompanied by his wife, was expected to have arrived Monday for funeral services and burial. Burial in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami Oklahoma. He is also survived by his parent Mr. and Mrs. Andy Scott of Baxter Springs Kansas.
