Oexman, Ernest L.

42, a resident of Fairland Oklahoma for several years, died at 2:30 pm Friday at the Picher hospital, in Picher, from injuries received in an underground accident the day before at the old Muncie Mine, approximately two miles northwest of Treece Kansas. Oexman died, a physician said, after his neck was broken when a rock slab fell on him when he was working in the mine at about 10 am Thursday. He was taken to the hospital in a Durnil ambulance from Picher Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leona Oexman of the Fairland home; a daughter, Ruby Oexman of Tulsa Oklahoma; two sons; Alvin Oexman of Camp Robinson Arkansas, and Franklin Oexman of the home; his mother, Mrs. Lena Oexman of Fairland; two sisters, Mrs. Will Hermanstaffer of Cushing Oklahoma and Mrs. A. Gliet of Fairland, and five brothers, Fred Oexman of Joplin Missouri, Louis Oexman of Friestal Missouri, Bill Oexman of Carthage Missouri, and Herman Oexman and Walter Oexman of Fairland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the home. A second service will be conducted at 3 pm at the First Lutheran church in Fairland. The Rev. G. G. Kreft will officiate. Burial will be in Fairland cemetery under direction of the Campbell funeral home.
