Newman, Corbin

38 years old, local manager of the Safeway grocery, died 10:30 am Monday at the Miami hospital. He took over the management of the local store about three years ago and in that capacity had made many friends in Picher among both his customers and business associates. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lona N. Newman; three sons, Corbin Lee Newman, Walter Newman and Richard Stewart Newman; four daughters, Peggy Lou Newman, Lila Fern Newman, Patricia Ann Newman and Sandra Kay Newman of the home; father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Newman, Miami; four brothers, Hugh Newman, Nashville Tennessee; Walter Newman, Miami; George Newman of the US Navy, New Orleans and Lieut. Lewis Newman, US Army somewhere overseas. Funeral services in Miami.
