The Women's Christian Temperance Union met last Friday at the home of Mrs. J. H. Mott, South Alta street. The meeting opened with a song, 'What the World Needs is Jesus,' after which prayers were given by Mrs. Wesley Post and Mrs. Mott. The Scripture reading was given by Mrs. C. H. Jennings. At the business meeting it was reported that 12 sick calls had been made; six convalescent cards had been sent; two cards of sympathy and two potted plants given. The afternoon's topic for discussion was 'Prayer' and included the following: 'Poems on Prayer,' given by Mrs. Post; 'The Ministry of Prayer,' Mrs. Mott, and 'Give that We May Give,' Mrs. Jennings. The next meeting of the organization will be Friday night, July 7.
