Bride is a graduate of Picher High School, class of 1940 and for some time has been employed in the local Safeway store. The groom, a veteran of 30 months overseas, will leave May 13, 1945, for Fort Leavenworth Kansas. Before entering the service, he was employed in the mines in Picher. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Pickett of Galena. Attending the marriage ceremony were Lieut and Mrs. Claude Day of San Marcus Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Corbin Newman of Miami; Mrs. Nellie Henderson, Miss Billy Jean Shaffer, Betty Shaffer, Mrs. Dorothy Pitts and Bud Rendt of Galena and Mrs. Emmet Collier and the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Morton.
