Miller, JoAnn

married Jackie D. Myers of Columbus Kansas on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Miller, of North Connell avenue, Picher, is attending the Picher High School where she is an honor student and one of the most popular young ladies of that group and has a wide acquaintance in Picher. Mr. Myers is attending the Columbus Kansas High School, and each plan to continue their studies in the respective schools and will be at home in Baxter Springs Kansas.

a wedding shower was given for Mrs. JoAnn Myers last week at the home of Mrs. L. W. Jennings at Treece Kansas. Those present were her teachers, Mrs. Edna McReynolds, Mrs. Zelda Triplett, Mrs. Emma Matter and Mrs. Kathryn Montgomery. Others present were: Ermalene Sills, Oletta Shuck, Betty Nivens, betty Ross, Elva Dry of Miami, Shirley Woodworth, JoAnn Ireton, Charlotte Mott, June Smotherman and Patty Sue Jones.
