Abstract Data

age 35, was injured fatality at 5 o'clock last Thursday , Nov 5, 1942, when he fell between a belt and pulley at the Semple-Martin tailing mill where he was employed as float man. Millard was taken to the American hospital, Picher Oklahoma and pronounced dead at 5:30 o'clock. His body was badly mutilated as a result of the accident, which apparently occurred when he slipped and fell. Mr. Millard lived at 206 East Tenth street, Picher. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Estellene Millard and three sons, Robert Millard, Donald Millard and Earl Millard, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Millard of Picher; five brothers, Floyd Millard, Melvin Millard, Eddie Millard, Charles Millard and Howad Millard, all of Picher; and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Crutchen of Quapaw Oklahoma dn Mrs. Ruth Nowlin and Mrs. Mary Mayberry of Picher. Durnil funeral home, Picher. Funeral services held at 4:00 Sunday afternoon.Burial in the Greenlawn cemetery in Cherokee county Kansas, northwest of Picher and Treece Kansas.
