The Daily Vacation Bible school at the Union church closed Friday night with an exhibit of the beautiful work done by the children during the past two weeks. There were 12 teachers assisting in conducting the school, Mrs. J. H. Mott, superintendent reported. At the program Friday night, there were 117 children present. Awards for attendance were made as follows: Christine Miner, Coleen Smith, Lottie Ross, Oletha Shuck, Elva Dry, Wilma Jones, Esther Baldwin, Evelyn Stinson, Betty Ross, Blanche Laverne Phillips, Herbert Turner, Willis Lake, John and Charlotte Rose Mott, Juanita Brashears, Naomi Patterson, Juanita Timms, Alice Foreman, Doris Foreman, Clara Jean Marquiss, Virginia Clouse, Aldean Craig, Eugene Denton, Clayton Moore, Henry Brashear, Harley Fox, Leroy Shuck, Alvin Jones, Denny Jones, Donald Lake, Buster Colvard, Floyd Colvard and James West, junior department.
