who has been general overseer of stocks for the Safeway Stores in this district, was checked in last Friday as manager of the local Safeway Store by Mr. Vivian, general manager of this district. Mr. Mantle has a wife and daughter and expects to move to Picher and make it their home. The installing of a new manager was made necessary by the sudden death of Corbin Newman, who had been in charge for approximately 3 years.
