Private Lollar, formerly of Picher Oklahoma, was killed in action in France on Aug 4, 1944, according to information received by his mother, Mrs. Grace Lollar, who was visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roger Graham in Picher. Her home is in Berkeley California. Lollar was inducted into the Army at San Diego California on Oct 20, 1943. He attended school in Picher and worked at the Earl Smith grocery for seven years, going to California in 1940. Survived by his widow, Lois Wilson Lollar and a daughter, Carol June, 5 years old, both of Independence Kansas. Note: Burial place not given.
