Leslie, Dorothea Jean

married to Sgt Homer L. Smith, on Jul 1, 1945 at the home of Rev. W. A. Evans in Joplin Missouri. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Steve Leslie of Galena Kansas and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Smith of 632 South Cherokee street, Picher. Witnesses Mrs. Reva Abram, sister of the bride and Miss Glenda Oliver, both of Galena. The couple graduated from the Picher High School. Sgt. Smith was for many months a prisoner of war in Germany, and is home on a 60 day furlough which when ended, he will report Aug 18, 1945, at Miami Beach Florida for assignment.
