A business meeting of the Ellen Vandegriff Bible class was held Tuesday. Mrs. Dora Koch presided. The meeting opened with a responsive reading, led by Mrs. Bert Nance. Rev. Mrs. Harry Craig, led in prayer and gave a very interesting talk on the Sunrise service and three ministers ordained by her at Baxter Springs. Present were Mesdames: Dora Koch, and granddaughter, Judith Ann Jaeger, Mary Michaels, Bert Nance, O. Phillips, Johnnie Roland, Mary Chazell, A. D. Ebersole and Mrs. Craig.

The Ellen Vandagriff Bible class of the Union church met for a business and social meeting Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Dora Koch presided at the meeting. The devotional was Psalm 102, which was read responsively with Mrs. Bert Nance as leader, after which the group sang the song, 'Jesus Calls Us.' Prayer was offered by Mrs. C. H. Jennings. At the business session the secretary and the treasurer's report was made and approved. A report on activities for the previous month showed 68 missionary calls had been made; 28 Bibles brought to class, 492 Bible chapters read and attendance for the month was 96. Talks were than made by Mrs. Myrtle Post, Mrs. Oscar Phillips and Mrs. Bert Nance. The class decided to meet all day Tuesday, July 11, at which time a covered dish luncheon will be served. The closing prayer was given by Mrs. Myrtle Post. Refreshments were served to Madames Bert Nance, Melinda Anderson, Oscar Phillips, Fred Gary, C. H. Jennings, Gurn Hubbard, Myrtle Post, Frank Hicks, Dora Koch, Elizabeth Morris, Dollie Ebersole, Stella Colvard, and little Frances Gary.
