Marine Pfc Jones has been wounded in action on Okinawa Island according to a letter received by his wife, Mrs. Frances Jones and was flown by plane to a hospital somewhere away from Okinawa. He has been overseas since last September and is in the 1st Div 5th Marines. Before entering the services, he as employed in the mines in Picher. He is the son of Mrs. C. E. Durham of Picher.

Private Jones, who recently received injuries while on Okinawa where he was stationed with the Marines, is about ready to return to his company, according to word received in Picher by relatives. He is stationed at present in a hospital in the Mariannas.
