a 32 year old miner living at 519 A street southwest in Miami, died at the Miami hospital at 1:25 am Sunday from injuries received after falling from a ladder at the Rialto Mine, south of Cardin Oklahoma, Friday night. Note: Ladders in the mines could be up to 90 feet tall or taller. He is survived by his wife, one daughter and two sons all of the home and his mother, Mrs. Ella Good of Miami. Pallbearers were Walter Coble, George Radford, Bud Tanner, Dock Boswell and Bill Houseman. Durnil funeral home, Picher. Burial in the Forest Hill Park at Joplin Missouri. Note: Pages of the newspaper are mis-dated Aug 23, 1945.
