known to his many miner friends as Chief Baconrine died at the home of his sister in Tahlequah Oklahoma on Aug 30, 1944. A heart attack was given as the cause of this death. He was a former Picher miner. Burial in the Hendrix cemetery, south of Tahlequah on Aug 31. He was a miner in the Picher area for many years. He is survived by his father, John A. Gonzalis, a son Sgt. Frank Gonzales of Burma China and a daughter.
