funeral services for Garland, 68 years old, who died last Thursday morning, Jan 25, 1945, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. I. D. Hulvey at Miami, were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Durnil funeral home, Picher. The Rev. J. H. Mott officiated and burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. Surviving besides Mary Hulvey are to other daughters, Mrs. Henry Sexton of Picher and Mrs. Wayne Claxton of Pacoima California. He was preceded in death by his first wife Katy Garland and both of their children Nellie Garland Morris and Bill Garland and his second wife Mrs. Celia Tillman Garland Williams.
