Forbes, John

Twelve Ottawa county men, formerly classified in 1-A, were inducted into the Armed Forces recently after successfully passing their physical examinations. They include: John Forbes, Clarence D. Swain, John W. Moore, Morgan Burgin, Burl T. Estes, Jake W. Eby, Jay D. Arnhart, Leland C. Brown, Leonard H. Parkington, John C. Connolly, Clarence O. Luke, and Elza L. Brown.

Pvt. John Forbes, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forbes, 528 Ottawa street, Picher, has arrived at Camp Walters Texas, infantry replacement training center to begin his basic training as an infantryman.

Private Forbes, who has been at Fort Meade Maryland, has been sent to Hawaii, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forbes 526 Ottawa street, Picher.
