Abstract Data
of Treece Kansas, was bitten on the left leg one day last week by a water moccasin while working 265 feet below ground level at the Jarrett mine, west of Treece. Evance, a hooker, had gone up in the heading to assist in loading a can when he was struck by the snake, which was in a pile of dirt. Evance did not obtain medical aid, but continued with his work.
