Abstract Data

A 30 minute musical program to be presented immediately preceding the regular worship hour at the Union church Sunday night was planned by the church choir which met Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Jack Davis, director. The program follows: Orchestra selections directed by P. A. Venner, 'There's a God Mine in the Sky,' choir, instrumental selection, Beverly Sue Rise, vocal solo, 'His Eye Is on the Sparrow,' Leroy Roland; accordion number, Cecile Venner; 'I'll Go Find Him Every Where,' Alton Caswell; 'Whisper, A Prayer,' Clysta Bryant; 'La Paloma' in Spanish, by Mrs. Lelia Frankel, with Thelma Bartlett whistling the accompaniment; 'Let the Strangers In,' choir; vocal solo, Mrs. A. W. Weigl. At the conclusion of choir practice the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Mary Swango, served ice cream and cake. Present were Leroy Roland, Frank Hammick, Louetta and Thelma Bartlett, Walter Curlee, Thelma June Searcy, Edna Fay Grey, Laverne Phillips, Freddie Phillips, Sammy Lou Swango, Lella Frankel, Clysta Bryant, Bob Smith, John Swango, Alton Caswell, Earl Bradbury, Jackie Lee Davis, Jim Davis, Mrs. Swango, Janice and Dale Frankel, Jack Colver and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis.
