Abstract Data
Two unidentified men were still at large today following the shooting of Cox, a Commerce Oklahoma grocery man. Cox was hot in the leg during an attempted robbery of his parent-in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boydston at their home north of Commerce early Monday morning. The shooting took place about 1:30 am after Mr. and Mrs. Boydstun, returning from Commerce by automobile, where accosted by two armed men who apparently were awaiting their return, Mrs. Boydaton screamed and attracted the attention of Cox, living nearby, who rushed to the scene and was immediately hot by one of the men. The assailants then fled. Cox was taken to the Miami hospital.
