Saturday evening, Dec 23, 1944, the Cook's Grocery in Cardin Oklahoma will close its doors and cease to exist after having been in business for a period of five and a half years. The family will retire to a small farm which they have purchased, located about half way between Sail Boat Bridge and Grove Oklahoma , with a long shore line and excellent building sites for cabins. They have grown weary of the many regulations and rules that have been imposed upon grocerymen by the government bureaus in the reason for this business quitting. ...
