age 32 has been wounded in action in Germany. Private Collins advised his father on 612 North Picher street, Picher, that he lost his right leg and is now in a hospital in England. The War Department informed his wife Mrs. Thelma Collins that he had been wounded. He is the father of three sons and has been in service since April 1944, and embarked for overseas duty in September as an infantryman. Before entering the military services Collins was employed as a miner in the mines of the Tri-State District.

Pvt Collins who suffered the loss of his right leg and injuries to his left leg in action in Germany is spending a 30 day furlough with his wife and children at 208 South Frisco, Picher, and a brother Paul Collins of 307 South Emily street, Picher. He was in a hospital in England and returned to the United States in February. He was been at the McCloskey General hospital in Texas. He went overseas last September.
