87 years old, pioneer and retired lead and zinc mine executive died in Miami Saturday after a lingering illness of os some duration. He came to the Tri-State area in 1895 and was associated with a brother in the well drilling business when they discovered several rich veins of lead and zinc ore particularly in the Picher and Commerce Oklahoma sections. They with C. M. Harvey and J. F. Robinson formed the Miami Royalty Company and later developed several of the best mines in the field. He was one of Miami's biggest real estate owners and a builder of that city, being part owner of the Miami News Record, a member of the board of directors of the First Nation Bank and built the $300,000 Coleman theatre, on of the finest in the Middle West as well as the Glory B and the Ottawa theatres in Miami.
