Mrs. Roy Bender, Jr. And Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bender, 716 West A street, Picher received a telegram last week stating that their husband and son, Private First Class Roy Wayne Bender was wounded January 5, in Belgium. They received a letter from Bender dated Jan 8, but he did not disclose the extend of his injuries. Bender, who is 21 years old, has been in the service two years and overseas since last June. He took his training at Camp Howse Texas and Fort Meade Maryland. He attended the Picher schools. His wife and their three moth old daughter reside at South Connell avenue, Picher.
