Stand, Cornelius

"Chief" Stand, of Miami, died Oct 9, 1998 at the Muskogee Oklahoma Veterans' Administration hospital, age 66. A Photo. Born Sep 9, 1932 in Ottawa county Oklahoma to Raymond Stand and Elizabeth Dushane Stand. He was a member of the Peoria Indian tribe. An Army veteran. Married Barbara Crawford on Jul 20, 1980, at Greenburg Kansas, she survives. Burial at the Peoria Indian cemetery, southeast of Quapaw Oklahoma.
