Pierson, James Richard

age 77, died Aug 11, 1999, at the Chetopa Kansas Nursing home. Born on Sep 19, 1921, at Chetopa, to James G. Pierson and Ethel Reed Pierson. Veteran, enlisted in 1942 in the U.S. Army, World War II and received the good conduct Medal and the American Theater of Operations Service Ribbon. After achieving the rank of staff sergeant, he left the army with an honorable discharge. Burial Walker cemetery, west of Welch Oklahoma.
