Leslie, Floyd Ralph

age 89, a photo. Of Miami, died Dec 19, 1999. Born on Jan 9, 1910 in Galena Kansas. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Thetis Bay in the South Pacific during World War II. During the 1930's he was a renown knuckleball pitcher and pitched for the Western Association, a semi-pro league of the time. Married Aletha Ray on Oct 12, 1935 in Hollister. She survives. Burial in the Hillcrest cemetery, Galena Kansas.
