Dru, Daniel

of Miami, died Jan 29, 1998, age 73. Born Nov 14, 1924, at Thomas. He was a Cheyenne Indian headsman. He was a drum maker and was nationally and internationally recognized for his work in teaching the art of drum making. An Army veteran of World War II. He had the distinction of being the last Southern Cheyenne who earned a Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Glenna Dru. Burial in Glen Abbey cemetery.
